Initial Consultation
You will be asked to arrive 10 minutes before your appointment time, where a form will be provided in order to take some basic details from you. You will then meet your Chiropractor where a full and detailed case history including other pertinent medical questions will be taken.
Your Chiropractor will carry out a thorough relevant physical examination, which may include Orthopaedic, Neurological, and state-of-the-art muscle testing. If x-rays are to be taken, our clinic has on site facilities.
Our x-rays are performed in the standing position, so major curves can be discovered – most people get their pain when they sit or stand, not when lying down. X-rays can help to detect congenital anomalies, disease processes, pressure on the discs and other bone related problems.
We value your time, and aim to be as efficient as possible whilst being completely thorough and finding the cause of your problem.
We will do what is possible to ease the symptoms, but treatment cannot always be guaranteed on the first visit. This depends on the nature of the problem, how acute the symptoms are at the time, and whether x-rays have been taken. Your Chiropractor will treat or advise you appropriately.
Report of findings
Following your examination, you will be given a full report of our findings, which will include explaining to you any x-ray findings. We will also explain our diagnosis with our recommendations and an optimum treatment plan.
We will spend time answering your questions, and when you are happy with our plan treatment may commence.
If your condition is considered to be managed more appropriately by another health-care practitioner or your GP, we will advise this referral appropriately.
We find that when our patients have a thorough understanding of the problem, this helps them to achieve better long-term results.
